Meet Your Coach

Coach Dan Cotter has been coaching competitively for more than 25 years. His experience as a Staff and Head Coach includes nearly a decade with the NEFC 2006 Girls Elite team and highly successful Futsal clubs ranging from U6 to U19. He holds a U.S. Soccer National Youth License, a D license, a Northeast Futsal Diploma, a USFF Futsal Level 1 Diploma, and Massachusetts Youth Soccer E and F Licenses. He has completed extensive course work, including NEP Cognitive Player Development, Speed of Play, Scales Revs, Play out of Defensive Third, and Scoot and Shoot. 

As a player himself, Coach Cotter competed in Divisions 1-3 on internationally based Boston and New England Teams, winning New England Men’s Champions in 1998.

Beyond the futsal court and soccer field, Coach Cotter holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lowell, along with undergraduate degrees in Electronics and Electromechanical Engineering. He is currently Director of Advanced Product Development and a scientist working in medical research and development at IntegraLife Sciences. He holds more than 19 U.S. patents and has authored 35 scientific publications.

Coach Cotter has four children and lives in Sharon, MA. When he isn’t coaching, he enjoys songwriting, singing and playing guitar, and bicycling.
